Thanks for the advice, i'll check around on possibly getting it sandblasted. Any idea how much that costs? As for the engine, i've been needing a rebuild for a while now. I was having some loud internal noises for about a year now. I've heard everything from its a piston slapping metal, to a warped or damaged crankshaft. So rather than have it rebuilt and hope the rebuild is reliable, i opted for an ATK engine with the three year warantee. Total cost for the engine was $3700 i think. While i'm at it i'm getting the T25/T28 turbo upgrade. Main reason for picking the ATK was the warantee, check out the site... http://www.atkengines.com : Do the best you can with what you have......on my sister's Z I sandblasted the plenum and it looks better than brandnew....cleaned up the ports real good. I blasted sand in all the cracks, crevices and holes I could. Know anyone w/ a sandblaster? You could clean the upper portions w/o any rags and simple green. I have some questions for you. Why did u get a new engine? And what made you decide on getting an ATK? How much? : Thanks
